When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address.

When you fill in your profile, we store your name, graduation year, department, which part of NCR you're in, your mobile number, and — if you choose to add them — a short brief about yourself and your LinkedIn handle.

As you use the service we also record which months you opt into, which group you were placed in, your answers to “did you meet?”, and a log of the emails we've sent you so we don't send the same one twice.

We hold a reference list of IIT Guwahati alumni in Delhi NCR, compiled from a spreadsheet shared within the alumni community. It contains names, graduation years, departments and mobile numbers, and for some people an email address, location or LinkedIn link.

It exists for one purpose: when you sign up, we check your mobile number against it to confirm you're actually an IITG alum. It is never shown to anyone, never published, and never used to contact people who haven't signed up.

You may be on this list without ever having used this site. If you are and you'd rather not be, email us and we'll remove you — no account needed.

There is no directory. Nobody can browse members or look you up. The only people who ever see your details are the two or three alumni you're matched with, and only for that month.

They see your name, department, graduation year and short brief.

When we introduce a group by email, everyone in the group is on the same message, so your email address is visible to the others — that's what lets you reply to each other and arrange to meet.

Your mobile number is never shared with anyone and never appears in any email. It is only ever used for the alumni check described above.

We use a small number of services to run this, and your data passes through them: Google for sign-in, Supabase for the database and accounts, Vercel for hosting the site, and Resend for sending email.

We don't sell your data, don't share it with advertisers, and don't use it for anything beyond running these meetups.

We email you about each month's round and to introduce your group. If you'd like us to stop sending the monthly emails, email us and we'll pause them.

One exception: if you've already been placed in a group, that group's introduction still goes out, because two other people are expecting it.

We keep your profile for as long as you have an account. Ask us to delete it and we'll remove your account, your profile, your group history and your feedback.

There's no self-service delete button yet — deletion is done by hand, so email us and we'll confirm once it's done.
